How to teach yoga to Beginners

Learn to Breathe, to Heal Yourself and Your Relationships (All Levels)

How does the way we breathe affect our stress level, anxiety, quality of sleep, and even our relationships? Breath penetrates, breath invigorates, and breath heals. The effect of Max’s breath work can lead to profound release and calm. Other benefits may include increased energy and mental clarity. This works so quickly and effectively that Max has successfully brought his unique breathing program into the corporate world.  Class will include a lecture, simple but high impact breathing exercises; very gentle breath-initiated movement, and guided meditation.  Appropriate for all levels. 

Helpful reminders:

  • Do not eat at least two hours before practice and eat lightly.
  • Dress in loose fitting clothing.
  • Arrive a few minutes early & leave your cell-phone in your car.
  • Before class, inform Max of any injury or special condition.
  • Breathing workshop is not advisable if pregnant.

FRIDAY 12 JAN 12:30PM – 2:30PM

Opening the Chest and Shoulders – a New State of Energy

2-hours, Movement based workshop

Some of the negative side effects of using a computer are that we find ourselves with frozen shoulders, sore forearms, and injured wrists. This workshop targets these issues with a special sequence of postures that opens the chest and shoulders, as well as the entire boy. This induces an emotional sense of release, brings the mind into stillness, and the body into a new state of energy. Open to all levels except absolute beginners. This movement workshop is both challenging and very healing.

FRIDAY 3:30PM – 5:30PM

Crisis is the Axis for transformation
2 hours – All levels

This workshop deals directly with the modern epidemic of stress in industrial societies across the world. A great many of us are plagued with anxiety and depression because we are actually in a quiet state of crisis. The opportunity of crisis is that you have a clarity that is unparalleled to any other time in your life. What is important and not important becomes almost blindingly clear. So, there is no better time to rebuild your vision of your life. The special seminar will give you knowledge to take home with you to help you live a more authentic life with improved sleep. Class includes lecture, self-enquiry, and writing.

All levels are welcome. Bring writing materials.

SATURDAY 13 JAN 12:30PM – 2:30PM

2 hour – movement-based seminar – all levels

This special Inner Axis workshop includes a special sequence of postures known to create a profound sense of stillness. Session also includes: Lecture, breathing patterns, focused acts of intention and will, and unifying guided meditation. The principles you will learn in this workshop will take you to new depths in your practice and inspire you for weeks to come.

SATURDAY 3:30PM – 5:30PM

2 hour – The healing power of transformational breath-work – all levels

The voice of our intuition and wisdom is commonly drowned out by the noise in our mind.  This noise is often caused by chaotic or congested emotions from by stress, depression, PTSD, or anxiety. Focused breath patterns can spark within us the reawakening of our higher nature, the voice of intuition, wisdom, and conscience.  The practices you will learn in this workshop will take you to new depths and inspire you for weeks to come.   Max has taken this work around the world to people of many faiths and nationalities. Bring your mat and writing materials.
