Mummy & Baby Yoga Classes

Mummy & Me classes are a fun way to reconnect with your body while enjoying time with your baby. It’s a great way to take part in an understanding community of other new mums!

Classes will include lots of nursery rhymes that are combined with asanas that are beneficial to babies offering physical strength, stimulation and an immediate sense of well-being. The combination of touching, stroking, handling, sound meditation and movement brings about a multi sensory stimulation which also contributes to the development of the brain and nervous system.

For mothers practicing postnatal yoga can often allow you a safe space to transition into motherhood with other mums and babies nurturing sacred circle. Postural work focusing on re-aligning the body after childbirth, identifying if diastasis recti is present and advise and rehabilitation with healing asanas and breath work can be combined with womb healing practices. Movement meditation will be explored together to create sequences that work for mothers and babies. Open to
babies 4 Months to 12 Months/ pre-walking

About Veena

Veena Rabadia, is a mother of two beautiful children, an artist, a yoga teacher and generally a creative social butterfly. She went to Art School after college, graduated with a BA in 3-Dimensional Arts from Loughborough University in England and collaborated with various artists, musicians, dancers, writers, drama therapists as a community artist.

Yoga has been part of her life from a very young age and she has pursued advanced trainings in different forms since 2008. These include pregnancy yoga and mother and baby yoga teacher training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Kid’s Yoga Teacher Training with Greville Henwood at Yama Yoga, Doha, and Baby Massage training. With over 13 years of experience working with communities, families and children her creative flair enables her to create nurturing environments, and sacred circles for mothers and babies. Currently she is training with Shiva Rea and travelling globally to teach a meditative Prana Vinyasa flow for adults which is what she practices daily.
