Day 1: Breastfeeding Essentials

• Anatomy of breast and feeding mechanics
• Establishing healthy feeding relationship
• Complications or challenges to nursing
• Positions and support tactics
• Pumping & storage
• Effects of exercise, foods, products on milk supply

Day 2: Pregnancy Nutrition 101

• Healthy eating fundamentals
• Eating in trimesters & for postnatal recover
• Stress vs Relaxation response to eating
• Pregnancy & Labor snacking

Day 3: Knowing Your Pregnant Body

• Examination of the anatomical, physical and emotional changes
• Alignment work for easing discomforts
• Pelvic floor & abdominal strength preservation
• Movements to prepare for childbirth
• Plan for recovery and movement postpartum

Day 4: Life as a New Mama

• Physical recovery from pregnancy & birth
• Therapeutic benefit of rest and nourishment
• Emotional stress & postpartum depression
• Baby wearing & outings
• Adjusting to new relationship dynamics

4-week Course at Asas

Begins Jan 12th, Thursdays 10 Am – 12 Pm, EB Jan 5th

Begins Feb 10th, Fridays 12.30 – 2.30 Pm, EB Feb 3rd
