Learn to quiet your busy mind and become less emotionally reactive. Increase your tolerance for the stresses of a busy life. Awaken your ability to heal yourself and develop inner calm. In the Yoga for Balanced Body & Peaceful Mind course students will develop practical, ‘take away’ skills that help regulate the central nervous system. You will learn how to lower the production of stress hormones such as cortisol and increase the release of ‘feel good’ hormones such as oxitocin. We will explore a wide variety of self-healing yoga techniques that will allow you to create a personalized program suited to your needs. By the conclusion of the course you will have built a solid foundation of healing habits for life to help you feel more emotionally balanced. Techniques we will explore include:

  • Breathing practices
  • Mind- body regulating techniques
  • Mind- body regulating techniques
  • Yoga postures
  • Yin yoga and myofascial release
  • Chakra balancing
  • Yoga Nidra (ancient yoga practice to enhance sleep)
  • Guided visualization/relaxation
  • Mindfulness/meditation practices (incl. mindful Eating)
  • Insight exercises to train in the recognition of distorted thinking


Jacki (E-200 RYT) has been teaching yoga and mindfulness since 2010, and worked in the field of Social Work (MSW) & counselling in Canada & Qatar for over 25 years. Over these years, Jacki’s deep curiosity for understanding stress and it’s powerful impact has inspired her to create courses and classes that invite exploration, awareness and healing. Having witnessed the power of working in groups, Jacki’s primary focus
is on establishing “safe spaces” – compassionate environments where trust, respect and curiosity form the foundation for students to explore healing and growth. Insightful, creative and deeply reflective, Jacki’s classes inspire your own inner resources to surface and your own inner wisdom to heal.



Hannah (E-200 RYT) teaches to share the healing power of yoga in body, mind and soul. Hannah enjoys helping people use yoga as a therapeutic tool through vinyasa flow, yin and myosfascial release techniques. She believes yoga can help release muscle tension and energy blockages both physically and emotionally to restore harmony and balance. Hannah loves to create a safe and non-judgmental environment, where people can feel at ease no matter what their background or yoga ability. Hannah has been a student of yoga since 2012 and received her certification under Valerie Jeremijenko and
has also studied with a variety of internationally acclaimed teachers.
